Woot Russia is rocking. The people here are great and the food is not too shabby either. The church is a great inspiration to me. They really don't need us here, but we seem to be inspiring them ourselves. I've met some amazing people both in the church and in the Universities here. We have met close to 10 or so people who speak English fluently and that's a great relief, as all of our Russian is very lacking. Hope everything in Germany goes well.
The team is finally solid again. We had some rough waters at first, but things are going smooth now and we get along great. We (the guys) basically live at the girls' place except for occassional sleep and showers.

We are finally in Russia! It's about like I imagined, but not nearly as cold. The people are very nice. I counted out 6 rubles earlier on the bus and it takes 7 to get off. Well the lady next to me gave me a ruble to make 7.
We finally met a college group on Monday and they were very happy to talk to us, although most of them barely spoke english. They wanted to meet us everyday, but we've been busy so we're meeting again tomorrow to visit the botanical gardens and hopefully talk them into coming to church.
The church here is amazing, inspiring, exploding. I feel so ignorant not being able to speak to many of them and even more when they ask questions about the Bible I've never considered. They are very nice, though, and understand that we don't know everything.
Well I don't know how much I'll be posting on here, since I'm trying to stay away from the internet as much as possible. Hope everything everywhere else goes well.

I talked to my uncle who went to Russia multiple times a few years ago and he said that the airport in Moscow has a lot of people who speak English. He said it's a bit intimidating as there are soldiers everywhere with guns and stuff. I hope everyone's having fun packing their 44 pounds. I haven't started yet.

Well it's one week to game time and I'm finally starting to get a little giddish. I've been studying my Russian extra hard and feel a little more confident about that. How does everyone else feel? Any thoughts from those of you that have done this before?
My only concern right now is not really knowing our plans. I'd like to have a little more light on travel arrangements and such, but I'm sure Ms. Matty will keep everyone in line. My parents seem like they've just realized what I am doing and are now a little more apprehensive. We'll see what happens.
